LFSUS assisted 300 poor families for their housing needs

“Lanka Financial Services For Underserved Settlements” {LFSUS} a credit enhancement facility provider in Sri Lanka which assisted by “UN–Habitat”, recently signed a tripartite agreement between Sri Lanka Saving Bank PLC (SLSB) and Rajarata Praja Kendraya-Kekirawa, to grant a bulk loan of LKR Ten (10.0) Million to be granted as sub-loans among 138 low income families in Kekirawa area in North Central Province (NCP) of Sri Lanka

The General Manager of LFSUS Mr: Gamini Swarnapala handover a copy of tripartite agreement signed by all parties to the Chairman of SLSB Mr: K Amarasinghe. The General Manager of SLSB Mr: Udaya Bandara and the Chief Executive Officer of RPK Mrs: Sheela Rathnayake also in the picture.

LFSUS also signed three tripartite agreements in October & November 2016 between “Hatton National Bank” (HNB)  and 3 MFIs as given below;

  1. Rajarata Participatory Development Foundation-RPDF-Medawacchiya (NCP), to grant a bulk loan facility of LKR Ten (10) Million to be granted as sub-loans among 61 poor families.
  2. Sewa Community Credit Limited- Boralesgamuwa i9n Western province (WP), to grant a bulk loan facility of LKR Ten (10.0) Million to be granted as sub-loans among 71 families in Chilaw, Polonnaruwa, Welimada and Kanthale areas.
  3. Dumbara Micro Credit Limited-Mirigama (WP), to grant a bulk loan facility of LKR Five (5.0) Million to be granted as sub-loans among 24 families in the area
